Destiny, or as my family calls it my addiction, is the latest game to capture my attention. I did not pre-order this great FPS/MMO hybrid, instead I went and purchased it after trading in my copy COD Advanced Warfare, which I was disappointed in but that is another story entirely. Destiny, in my opinion, is engaging and fun.
I have been fans of other hybrids of the same type like the Borderland series. These games fuel my needs to get better loot and items to upgrade my character and at the same time having an engaging story. I have read articles and reviews attacking Bungie calling the storyline weak or minimal. I, on the other hand, see the raw materials and storyline that can provide almost unlimited updates and DLC possibilities that could be branched off what is a good start in the basic Destiny storyline.
In some instances people want to get through the campaign so quickly that you can miss the storyline and little sentences used to set up other branches of the campaign at later parts of the storyline. With an expected 2 years turnaround before we see Destiny 2 or what ever Bungie names the second act of the series there are huge opportunities for Bungie to further enhance our experience as gamers. I will continue to share my experiences as time goes on and bring to light the enjoyable notations of this great game.
